After a very successful season last year, we relish the challenge of ensuring our parties will continue to evolve into Cambridgeshire’s number one Christmas Party venue.

 

We hope you will join us this year for a party night everyone will remember.  The Old Hall is located one mile south of Ely and overlooking Ely Cathedral. We offer a traditional Christmas theme and focus on fine quality catering, service and entertainment. There is accommodation available in 9 bedrooms as well as free on-site parking, easy access for coaches, minibuses and taxis.

Light and straightforward, with an up-front nose of citrus fruit, tinged with a subtle leafy character. Crisp and dry on the palate, with a zingy finish.

 

Alfredini Garganega Pinto Grigio, Veneto

Light in colour, refreshing, and crisp and with aromas of limes, grapefruits and lemons making this well balanced wine very easy to drink.

 

Five Foot Track Chardonnay, Australia

A nose of fresh tropical fruits, with underlying notes of vanilla. This combines with citrus fruits on the palate, served up with a rounded and buttery feel.

 

Fathom’s Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand

Light and refreshing, this wine from New Zealand has ripe citrus fruits on the palate and an elegant, lingering finish.

Montagny, Grand Vin De Bourgogne, Buxy, Burgundy

This Montagny offers ripe lemon aromas, accompanied by subtle hints of white blossom. More refreshing citrus flavours on the palate, and an elegant, steely dry finish.

Red Wines

Michel Servin Rouge

Supple and inviting, this wine blends the soft and jammy raspberry fruit of ripe. Grenache with the firming influences of Carignan’s blackberry flavours and robust tannin.

 

Baron de Baussac Carigan Vieilles Vingnes, Vin de Pays de L’Herault, France

Deep and inky red in colour, the wine is crammed with black cherry fruit, lifted by subtle vanilla aromas from a touch of oak ageing. Bold, meaty tannins provide satisfying texture and length.

 

Five Foot Track Shiraz, Australia

Medium weight, with a pleasing balance between ripe fruit and savoury notes on the nose. The palate is succulent with lashings of red berry and brambles.

 

Aires Andinos Malbec, Argentina

Deep ruby coloured with smokey black fruits of cassis, blackberry & spice.

 

Torre Aldea Tinto, Rioja, Spain

A deep bright red cherry colour with persistent aromas of ripe fruit and berries. Long and lingering with great harmony and a wonderful aftertaste.

 

Vieux Remparts Lussac-St-Emillion

This is a rich, full bodied wine showing great concentration of flavour.

Rose Wine

Torre Alta Pinot Grigio Rosé, Italy

This wine shows why rose is so popular. Beautiful soft strawberry flavours with floral notes with a refreshing zing on the palate.

 

Blushmore Zinfandel Rose, Italy

A delicately ripe and juicy rose bursting with delicious Strawberry & watermelon flavours.

Sparkling Wine & Champagne

Prosecco Zonin, Italy

Delicate and aromatic with a light body and fine bubbles, this wine carries lots of fresh peach, pear and apple with a lovely finish.

 

Blushmore Zinfandel Sparkling Rose, Italy

Bright coral in colour with a delicious sweetness, offset by a fresh acidity. The intense aroma of floral notes give way to flavours of juicy strawberries and ripe redcurrants.

 

De Telmont Grande Réserve, Champagne, France

One of the few remaining, family owned Champagne houses, De Telmont produces this excellent non-vintage in a medium bodied, soft and fruity, classically yeasty style.

Veuve Cliquot Brut NV, Champagne

Veuve Cliquot ages their non-vintage for almost twice the required time, resulting in a superb marriage of freshness and power, with rich fruit and a mouth- filling mousse.
