A note from the Couple
1st September 2023 was truly the best day of our lives, and what a stunning wedding venue The Old Hall is. Our wedding was like something from a fairytale, everything we could have dreamed of. The staff were sensational from the get go, so organised and could not do enough for you. The service on the day was amazing and so many guests complimented the venue and staff.
The Wedding Day at The Old Hall Ely
The wedding day began in the morning with Georgie and her bridesmaids arriving for hair and makeup. The bridal party enjoyed a wrap platter in the honeymoon suite, of chicken Caesar, hoisin duck and grilled halloumi to start the big day off right! Whilst the girls were getting glam and enjoying refreshments, the groomsmen arrived to the sitting room for pre wedding drinks.
Behind the scenes, the events team at The Old Hall Ely worked with GDC venue styling to elevate the marquee and ceremony spaces whilst guests began to arrive. Guests enjoyed drinks and live music just before the ceremony started at 2pm, with Georgie walking down the aisle in The Orangery alongside her father.
With the wedding breakfast announced, guests moved through to the stunning marquee, decorated with tasteful sage green and white details. Georgie enjoyed a cosmopolitan cocktail in great company as the wedding breakfast was served. The couple chose a delicious menu including duck leg rosti, slow cooked beef and sticky toffee pudding which guests enjoyed before the three speeches were had.
The newlyweds and their overnight guests enjoyed a cooked breakfast the next morning to end their wedding the best way, surrounded by friends and family.
