A note from the Couple
A perfect day at a perfect venue. We wouldn’t change a thing about our day, it was like something out of a fairy tale, our dream wedding! From the moment we stepped through the doors of The Old Hall we were looked after and knew straight away this was the venue for us. The staff did everything to make our vision come to life and ensure our day was perfect, it truly was the best day of our lives.
On our day there was always a member of staff around to help us with anything we needed, for both the bride and groom, they took all the stress away. The day ran smoothly from start to finish.
We had the sunshine on our side and were able to get married outside which was so dreamy. The food was out of this world and the guests loved the big reveal of the dance floor! Still to this day we get compliments on how beautiful our wedding was.
We will be forever grateful for what The Old Hall did for us and it’ll always hold a special place in our hearts.
It was honestly the best day, we keep watching our video and want to do it all over again.
On our wedding I was actually pregnant with our first baby and we didn’t even know!! Baby is due May!
The Wedding Day at The Old Hall Ely
Alicia and Josh had a truly magical day, filled with love and a magical atmosphere. On a sunny day in September, the fairytale wedding day began with the glam squad arriving to get Alicia ready for the big day.
Whilst Alicia was being pampered, once Josh was ready, guests began to arrive and enjoy the beautiful setting of our topiary courtyard with a violinist setting the romantic atmosphere.
It was now time for the big moment with the ceremony being held outside at our garden pavilion with beautiful flower decoration.
Alicia walked down the aisle to the romantic sound of a violinist with the magical backdrop of Ely Cathedral. Alicia and Josh said their vows whilst their closest watched on, it was the perfect celebration of their beautiful love for one another!
Alicia and Josh walked back down the aisle to “love on top” by Beyonce and they were officially a married couple! Straight into the drinks reception to celebrate, guests enjoyed prosecco on our terrace overlooking Ely Cathedral, creating the most magical atmosphere.
Canapes of sun blushed tomato, maple pork and spring onion bon bons and chipolatas glazed with honey and mustard went down a treat alongside the beautiful weather and setting!
The wedding breakfast was announced at 3pm and guests made their way to the marquee before the newlyweds made their grand entrance to “you sure do” by strike 7, this got the celebration started!
Speeches began from the father of the bride, the groom Josh and the best man before the stunning dining experience commenced. Alicia and Josh decided on a stunning menu including duck leg rosti, chicken supreme and chocolate brownie paired with exquisite wines.
After the wedding breakfast, extra evening guests arrived at 6.30pm just before the exciting entertainment of a fire breather which wowed their guests!
Alicia and Josh cut their wedding cake and had their first dance to “feel so close” by Calvin Harris as our secret dancefloor was revealed. They danced the night away before enjoying their choice of evening food, fish and chips, and then retreated to our luxury bedrooms after the most magical day!
