Ieva & Kenny
Ieva and Kenny had a beautiful Summer wedding day, full of colourful florals and fun.
14th July 2022
A note from the Couple
As soon as we stepped into the Old Hall we knew we were going to get married here. We viewed it in winter and it was so beautiful, and we just knew that our summer wedding would be absolutely magical! We were not wrong!
We said our vows outside, it was a lovely warm day in July and thankfully not too hot. The views were just phenomenal!
As soon as the golden hour struck it was like a fairytale! We have some gorgeous photos to remember our wedding by.
Our guests were so impressed by the beauty of the venue too.
It is not just the venue that is beautiful, but the rooms too.
The Wedding Day at The Old Hall Ely
Ieva and Kenny started their wedding celebrations the night before the big day, with a intimate dinner party with their closest friends and family in our Orangery, before an exciting early start in the morning!
The wedding day began at 7.30am with Ieva’s glam squad arriving to get her ready for the special day, alongside her bridesmaids, whilst Kenny enjoyed breakfast with his best man.
Behind the scenes, The Old Hall Ely team were setting up for the day, working alongside the florist and other suppliers.
Guests began to arrive around 1pm, before the ceremony commenced at our garden Pavilion at 2pm. Ieva walked down the aisle with her Mother, to Taylor Swift, whilst her friend played the Viola, making for an extra special entrance.
Kenny and Ieva said their I do’s, overlooking our stunning lakes and grounds with their loved ones watching on closely, it really was such a beautiful moment. The couple walked back past their guests, who celebrated with bright confetti, to “Came here for love” by Ella Eyre to continue the celebration into the drinks reception!
The drinks reception was held on our Cathedral Terrace, overlooking Ely Cathedral as guests enjoyed Prosecco and canapes of glazed honey and mustard mini sausages, beetroot and white bean on croute and chicken satay skewers.
Following on from the drinks reception, the couple and their guests moved through to the marquee which was filled with colourful flowers creating a bright and airy space.
Guests sat down for the three course wedding breakfast at 4.30pm to enjoy the couple’s chosen menu including grilled sea trout, garlic and herb stuffed chicken breast and chocolate brownie.
After an evening of dancing, evening food of sticky pulled chilli chicken and smokey ratatouille wraps was serviced and last orders were called.
