A Spectacular 60th: Baxter UK’s Anniversary Celebration
This summer, The Old Hall Ely had the immense pleasure of hosting a truly landmark occasion—Baxter UK’s 60th anniversary celebration. With 400 guests, exclusive use of the venue, and a full programme of entertainment, food, and festivities, it was a day (and night) to remember.
From the moment guests arrived, it was clear this would be no ordinary corporate event. The sun shone over the Ely countryside, the gardens were in full bloom, and the atmosphere was electric with anticipation.

A Warm Welcome in a Stunning Setting
Guests were greeted with arrival drinks and drinks tokens, setting a relaxed and celebratory tone. Personalised signage by West Brothers guided guests through the venue, adding a thoughtful and bespoke touch to the experience. Portrait photography by Happy Booths in the gardens captured the joy and elegance of the occasion, before guests made their way to the Cathedral Terrace—a breathtaking space with panoramic views of Ely Cathedral—for cocktails served from one of five outdoor bars.
A Feast of Flavours
The food for the event was served from vibrant food trucks in the car park, creating a relaxed, festival-style vibe. The offering was as diverse as it was delicious, with something for everyone to enjoy.

Each dish was freshly prepared and thoughtfully catered to a wide range of tastes and dietary requirements—ensuring no one left hungry and everyone left happy.

As the sun set, guests danced the night away on the terrace under the stars, cocktail in hand, and later moved into the marquee for a full dancefloor experience.

Effortless Planning, Exceptional Results
Behind the scenes, the event was carefully coordinated to ensure every detail was just right. From the initial enquiry to the final toast, our team worked closely with Baxter UK and their trusted suppliers to bring their vision to life.
Guests stayed overnight in our 16 luxurious bedrooms, and the following morning, a relaxed breakfast gave everyone a chance to reflect on the night before and share stories from the celebration.
